But first, the quick download:

Steven Garrett Pace, referred to as Garrett Pace, is a musician, singer/songwriter, composer and producer from the Georgia. While he is a trained tenor and skilled in Pro Tools he has also found the time to play piano, guitar and harmonica. Garrett attended Western Carolina University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Music degree with a concentration in commercial and electronic music and voice.

What made you want to start composing/singing?  My mom was a singer and songwriter before my time and while growing up I was inspired to do the same by her. Also I just enjoyed it along with being something I was good at.

Any childhood memories that changed your path?  The only thing was going to military school to gain some self-discipline and respect. Without that I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

How did this album/EP come about?   Working with Bravo Ocean got me thinking that “Hey, I’ve never actually professionally recorded one of my own original songs before.” So this was more of a fun learning experience for me.

What's your motto in life? Always have optimism and believe in what you want to believe in. Don’t let anyone force to change you.

What’s your favorite artists/inspiration/food/city/random stuff?  I love listening to Paul McCartney, Sting, Martian Page, Peter Gabriel and plenty others. I enjoy all music for the most part. I really enjoyed the air and atmosphere of North Carolina when I was in college. Also when I visited Calgary in Canada I loved how cool and clean their city was. I am inspired a lot of the times by something that moves me, a piece of music of a good scene in a movie or even a moment in time with my friends or family.

You love blue. Why?   It used to be green but it slowly moved to blue as I grew up. It’s just the color that makes me feel most relaxed I guess. My eyes enjoy that color.

What are you looking for in the future?  I want fun times with my friends and family to remember. Music-wise I would love to create my very own album, something that I can show people and leave on this earth to remember me by when I’m gone.
